An Unintentionally Very Specific Moodboard
I've been saying out loud lately to anyone with ears that I miss the 80s.
This is likely due to my having been a 10 to 19-year-old person, the formative years. The years when the only thing I had to worry about was my grades and the threat of nuclear war.
I set out to make a summer-themed board, you know, cute, peppy, zippy, stripe-y, juicy, summer vibes.
I crafted a character from some fictional 80s novel or movie, living in the south of France, or on holiday, about to have the summer of her life.

Someone, please buy those sunglasses. There’s ric rac on the top. Even the temples are ric rac! And someone else, please buy me those canisters.
I have also been nostalgic about the 80s. We are the same age, so this board makes total sense to me! Maybe it has been on my mind because I was so late to Strange Things and watched it recently. I couldn’t have loved it more! Someone does need to buy you some French enamel canisters. You’ve wanted them forever!
I was obsessed with pre-wedding "Lady Di" when I was a freshman in high school and did an exhaustive search for one of those Pierre Doux bags. Not so easy to find in 80's pre-internet Chicago haha!
